Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney June. 6 53) was known as an American film actress. Her most well-known role is Lieutenant Sheba in the Battlestar Galactica TV series from 1978 to 1979. Lockhart is the daughter of the actress June Lockhart and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. The professional life of Lockhart began early. Her first role was aged four, when she appeared in T is for Tumbleweed. The short film about a subject was considered for nomination to an Oscar award. Anne did not recall approached with the name of John Carpenter nor being offered the job. It's possible that one of her agents declined the role on her behalf without telling her. Glen Larson chose her initially and then sent her a draft written script. She was to appear in the TV series Battlestar Galactica, which aired in 1978. The actress initially refused the part since the character did not seem strong. Glen wrote an entirely brand new character, Sheba, which was much more strong. The first 25-page script was read to Sheba and she was immediately in agreement. It lasted for one season. She co-starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the movie Joyride (1977) and also co-starred alongside Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
